Harbour View, a contemporary waterfront event venue in northern Virginia, can accommodate socials from 10 to 320 guests. The venue is divided among several versatile spaces to accommodate your birthday party, anniversary party, celebration of life, baby shower, bridal shower, graduation party, high school prom, quinceanera, sweet sixteen, holiday party, gala, fundraiser, or any special occasion that needs a gorgeous location.
The first floor open-air Veranda is a fully covered space, open on one side to the charming Occoquan River. With the flexibility to make the outdoors a part of your celebration—without worrying about the weather—the Veranda is a unique option for mixers of up to 160 guests. We include all of the tables and chairs you will need, and even line the space with billowing white curtains to create the perfect ambiance for your special occasion.
The River Room
The River Room is ideal for smaller gatherings of up to 40 guests. A wall of windows give an uninterrupted view of the river—sure to delight—and the room opens onto a private and peaceful patio for relaxing conversation. The River Room is a perfect choice for parties, dinners, baby and bridal showers, and sweet sixteens.
On the second floor you enter the Gallery: a wide open space with hardwood floors and a wall of windows overlooking the entrance. Brimming with “wow-factor,” this is the ideal space for bar and hors d’oeuvres, as well as guest book, gift table, and other personal displays. The Gallery is included with your banquet package (not included with River Room and Veranda-only events).
From the Gallery, you can enter either one of the two main event areas: Sewall’s Point Ballroom or Hutchinson Room. The neutral décor of the ballrooms means that your carefully planned decorations will take center stage—though the rooms are so beautiful you’ll find they need little decoration. These elegant spaces are lined with huge windows overlooking the river and marina below. Surrounding the ballrooms is a spacious balcony, so your guests can step out to enjoy the view and the cool river breezes.
The charming cobblestone parking lot, flagstone walkways, and beautifully landscaped grounds will steal your heart, and Harbour View’s legendary service will ease your mind. Our mission is to take the stress out of hosting an event, so you can focus on enjoying it. Our friendly and dedicated team of event coordinators will make vendor recommendations, advise you throughout your planning process, and will be on-site from the time your first vendor arrives until the last of your happy guests leaves.
