Welcome to Harbour View. Harbour View, a waterfront event venue in Woodbridge, VA, boasts over 12,000 square feet, divided into several highly functional and beautifully appointed spaces:
•The first floor open-air Veranda is a fully covered space nestled right alongside the bulkhead bordering the river. The veranda is perfect for a registration area, cocktail reception, elegant lunch, or small trade show.
•The River Room is a first-floor conference space for up to 40 attendees, ideal for board meetings, corporate meetings, breakout sessions, and presentations. A wall of windows gives an uninterrupted view of the river—sure to impress—and the room opens onto a private and peaceful patio.
•On the second floor, you will enter the Gallery: a wide open space with hardwood floors and a wall of windows overlooking the entrance. The Gallery is perfect for registration or coffee between sessions, and an ideal place to showcase your takeaway materials, raffle items, or prizes.
•From the gallery, you can enter either one of the two main event areas: Sewall’s Point Ballroom and Hutchinson Ballroom. The elegantly appointed ballrooms are surrounded on all sides by huge windows overlooking the river and marina below. Both ballrooms open onto an extra-wide balcony spanning three sides of the building. The two separate ballrooms allow for breakout sessions, and the neutral décor means that your brand or party theme will take center stage—though the rooms are so beautiful you’ll find they need no additional decoration.
Our talented staff prides itself on anticipating the needs of your organization and serving as true partners in the planning of your event. Harbour View can host banquets of up to 320 guests and seminars and mixers of up to 350.
What are the Room Layout options for my Event?
The kind of event that you are planning, the number of attendees that you expect, the food and beverage options that you want to offer, all have an impact on your room and venue selection.
The most common room layout designs:

|The banquet room layout places your attendees at round tables of 8 to 10 each, with a speaker or presenter at the front of the room. This is a perfect layout for events where the attendees will be having a meal either during or right after presentations are made. Attendees are seated at a large boardroom table so that ideas, requests, and requirements can easily flow among the participants. |Theatre style offers the greatest flexibility when hosting larger numbers of attendees, or when the number of attendees is in flux until the last minute. Attendee chairs are all set facing the main event /function space. The main function space can be staged, or not depending upon the event hosts vision. |Classroom style is set up so that all attendees are facing the main speaker/trainer, but all of the attendees are seated at a table. This is an ideal set up for training events where there will be multiple training materials used, for longer training events, or for events where attendees will need to have laptop/tablet access throughout the event. |A great layout for mixers, employee appreciation, and networking events, cabaret style offers mostly high top cabaret tables that make moving about the room and meeting/greeting other attendees easy.
