Do I need an appointment to tour Harbour View?

Yes – We ask that you please make an appointment for tours. Because we are a private event venue, we do not show the venue when there are events in progress. When you come in to visit Harbour View, we want to make sure that you will have access to all of the rooms that you will be utilizing for your event.

How soon do I need to book my event at Harbour View?

Once you decide on your date, you will want to contact us as soon as possible. All of our events are booked on a first come, first served basis.

Can I hold a date and will there be a fee to do so?

You can certainly hold a date. Once you have seen the venue, you can sign a “Room Hold” agreement that will hold the date for up to 5 days. There is no fee for a room hold.

What is the process to book my event at Harbour View?

In order to reserve your desired date, you will need to sign a rental agreement and remit the initial deposit at the time of booking. You will be required to deposit either 25% or 50% of the rental amount in order to secure your date. The amount will depend upon how soon your event is taking place. For events within 9 months of booking, a 50% deposit is required. For events scheduled more than 9 months away, a 25% deposit is required, with another 25% deposit due at least 9 months prior to the event date. In either case, the remaining deposit, and a refundable damage deposit are due 30 days prior to the event.

FYI: If your event is occurring within 30 days of signing the rental agreement, or if you are booking the River Room for your event (40 guest or less) the entire balance is due when signing the agreement.

Does Harbour View charge service fees or gratuity fees in addition to the rental fee?

No – We do not charge an additional service fee, cleaning fee, or gratuity fee. We do collect a flat $295 venue management fee for all events over 40 guests.

Your coordinator and venue staff are most appreciative of gratuities for their amazing service. However, in the true spirit of such offerings, gratuities to your coordinator and the venue staff are left to your discretion and are never a contractual add on.

Are there any discounts available for booking my event at Harbour View?

 We offer a 10% discount on all rental fees for active duty military. We are so very appreciative of our service men and women, and we love to make their wedding day dreams a reality!

We also offer discounts on weekend rental fees during the months of November through March.

What methods of payment does Harbour View accept?

Harbour View accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We also accept personal or corporate checks.

What are my options for catering at Harbour View?

Our catering policies give you the freedom to choose from a selection of approved caterers to suit your taste, including a variety of international cuisines. Each of the catering companies have been thoroughly vetted to give you peace of mind that comes from knowing that you are working with trusted professionals who consistently provide excellent food and service. We are happy to give you guidance and assistance to ensure a perfect catering fit for your event.

What are my options if I choose to serve alcoholic beverages at my event?

 There are a few options for serving alcohol at your event as outlined below. Option 1 and 2 are perfect for wedding receptions and social events. Option 3 works well for corporate events and fundraisers.

1)      Supply your own alcoholic beverages for your event. Your caterer will supply the bar equipment, mixers, ice, and staffing. All alcohol must be served by the bartenders and wait staff.

2)      Have the catering company handle everything for you. The caterer will supply all the beer, wine, liquor, mixers, bar equipment, ice, etc. You can choose between a full bar, or beer and wine only. The cost of this option is based on the number of attendees, the number of hours the bar will be open, and what bar options you choose.

3)      Have the catering company provide a cash bar for your event. This option works really well for corporate events and fundraisers.

In choosing any of these options, please note that all guests must be 21 years of age in order to be served alcoholic beverages at Harbour View.

 

Is the balcony area included in my rental?

Yes – use of the balcony surrounding the ballrooms is included! You and your guests can enjoy the beautiful marina and river views throughout your event. At your request (weather permitting), we can place high-top cabaret tables on the balcony.

What is the smoking policy at Harbour View?

Smoking is not permitted inside any area in Harbour View. For you and your guests comfort and convenience, we have provided designated smoking areas outside at the front entrance and on the second-floor balcony. In order to preserve the beauty of the river and protect the wildlife, all smoking materials must be extinguished in the provided receptacles.

May I use the marina grounds and docks for my photographs?

You are welcome to use all the beautiful areas of the marina grounds for your photos. We ask that you coordinate access to any of the docks with a Harbour View staff member. If you’d like to use the marina grounds for engagement photos, just coordinate an agreeable date with us!  

Is there a fee for parking?

No – parking at Harbour View is free of charge and very plentiful.

Will there be Harbour View staff on-site during my event?

Harbour View staff will be on site from the time your very first vendor arrives until the close. We will make sure that everything goes smoothly and as planned so that you can relax and enjoy your event.
