The special events industry is a second career for me. I spent the first portion of my life working in real estate enterprises; everything from direct sales to brokerage management to corporate training. My personal philosophy of providing superior customer service while treating everyone with the utmost respect and fairness has translated beautifully to our business at Harbour View. I am so fortunate to be able to do something that I love to do every day, which is in large part due to being surrounded by some of the most caring, hardworking people in the industry. We operate as a team at Harbour View, but really it’s more like a big family. I think that our customers, employees, and vendors value this because whether they are coming to work, or coming to host their special event, Harbour View feels like home.

I was born and raised in Chesterfield, VA, and graduated from Radford University with a Bachelors in Interior Design. My passion for designing spaces is a large part of why I first fell in love with special events while working at a venue in Richmond. When I ventured to Northern Virginia in 2014 I joined Harbour View, and have had the pleasure to continue my adventures in event coordination here. The best part of my job is getting to meet so many different people and helping them join our Harbour View family. I’m especially fond of weddings—it is so fulfilling helping couples find their perfect venue, working with them throughout the planning process, and finally watching them enjoy one of the most important days of their lives. When I’m not at work I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with my family, hanging out with my boxer Roxy, and visiting new places. I want to see everything the world has to offer!

My childhood dream was to get married on the shores of the Occoquan River at the edge of the woods where I’d played. So when Harbour View decided to build a special events venue there, it was obvious that I would help! With a background in design and communications, I developed the Harbour View brand and produce all of the printed and written materials, as well as, of course, helping customers with their events.

What I love about the events business is helping my hosts bring their vision to life in ways that they couldn’t have imagined. I love sharing tips and tricks to help make an event great, from design ideas to unique ways to help guests have fun. But my favorite part of Harbour View is the people. The team is really wonderful, and we seem to attract fun hosts and vendors. Everyone is always great to work with!

I grew up in a military family in San Diego and Virginia Beach, and have been in the Northern Virginia area since 2005. I have a background in hospitality and home staging. I love working with people, and I love all things creative—so becoming an event coordinator was a natural choice for me. What I like most about what I do is really getting to know our wonderful couples and hosts. It’s so fun to help them plan all of the details, and then see their eyes light up when they enter the ballroom! Being a part of these big moments make us feel like part of the family. I couldn’t ask for a better team to work with, and I feel so lucky to be a part of it. In my free time, I like to shop, eat, explore and be outside.. preferably on the water! I also love a relaxing Netflix night in.

I have been in the wonderful world of special events since 2003. My career began at a catering company in the Virginia, DC, MD area. Starting as wait staff, I worked my way into Event Design, working closely with clients to bring their event visions to life. I love how unique each event is—from small intimate gatherings to large social affairs—every celebration is so special! I am incredibly excited to be a part of the Harbour View family. My favorite part of being an event coordinator is meeting with our event hosts, learning their vision, and seeing everything come together on their special day. In my free time, I love to be with my family and friends, and I enjoy cooking and snuggling up to a great movie.
